CaribWorldNews, NEW YORK, NY, Mon. Mar. 15, 2010: The United Nation`s flash appeal for Haiti is so far less than 50 percent funded. That`s the word from United Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who visited Haiti Sunday ahead of the March 31st donors` conference for the quake-devastated country in New York. Ban revealed that only 49 percent of the $1.4 billion appeal has been funded to date, even as Haiti continues to grapple with the after effects of the January 12th quake.
