New Zealander Killed In Jamaica

CaribWorldNews, KINGSTON, Jamaica, Thurs. July 9, 2009: A 27-year-old New Zealand groom on a second honeymoon in Jamaica has been shot and killed.

Tiki Hunia, 27, a Kiwi living in Hong Kong, was reportedly shot three times in the upper body by a man who approached him as he sat with his wife in the upscale community known as Golden Triangle in St Andrew, and demanded his cell phone.

Hunia died at a nearby hospital while the shooter reportedly fled the scene. His wife was unharmed, the radio station reported.

A friend told Stuff.co.nz that Hunia and his wife were on their second honeymoon in Jamaica after renewing their wedding vows in Las Vegas.
