Puerto Rico Adds To Caribbean Swine Flu Cases

CaribWorldNews, SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Weds. May 27, 2009: The Caribbean now has five cases of swine flu, with Puerto Rico confirming its first case this week.

The U.S.-dependent, Caribbean territory said a 39-year-old man who had returned from a week-long eastern Caribbean cruise was its first case.

The man confirmed he had been on a May 10-17 cruise. No details of the cruise ship he had been traveling on was revealed with Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuno insisting , `This isolated case should not be cause for panic.`

Cuba has reported four cases to date, bringing the total cases across the Caribbean to five.
